After visiting China twice in the past couple of years I can tell you first hand that their electronic stores are second to none. The technology is first rate and rivals any competition here in the states. I bought and still buy goods from China on a regular basis. I purchased a microphone which is the states would have cost at least in excess of $35.00. The same mic in China I found at $7.95
