Ideas for you webmasters , everything you wanted to know.

I havent posted anything in a long time. I have mostly adbandoned the site due to a few reasons. I took a look at the stats and there still seems to be about 100hits a day. Which is amazing considering theres nothing going on.

This site was mostly made for me to experiment with some blogging and see whats all out their for webmasters. Also i wanted to throw some ideas other there for others to use. Not sure if any of them where useful or not.

I will be doing something different with the site , it may be more of a profotolio for my web services , or who knows. Until then i will keep up the blog for anyone who wants to see what has been blogged about. Enjoy

I want to know about your blog posts. Let me know whats out there. There are tonnes of blogs with interesting ideas/thoughts that we dont even know about. Wouldn’t it be interesting to share those with others you cant reach out to. I thought this would be a good way to get some intereaction with visitors.

If you have a blog about technology or websites , i would like to share a interesting blog post of yours. You dont have to do anything , well contacting me about your blog or a post would be great. If i think your blog post is interesting i will write a small paragraph about it and link it to my post. You dont have to link to my site if you dont want too. If you would like to , go ahead.

Write me a comment to let me know about you blog or a post. I will contact you back if i want to use your post.

          

Most blogs your able to leave comments on posts. This is a great way to form interaction with your visitors. With them you can learn more , gain friends or even improve your posts.

For Bloggers

Enabling comments for your blog is useful for feedback and interaction. There are benefits for bloggers not just the commentor. For one , comments can help you develop relationships with new clients or just people. If your selling products or services this is a great way , word of month travels fast. Mainly its about interaction , if visitors can leave messages they are more likely to come back to see if they get a response. If visitors cant leave messages then they will most likely not be interested in viewing that post again. There are some reasons why you may want to disable comments. For example if you have posts that may offend someone , or any kind of post that would cause arguments.

For commentors

You can leave a comment at blogs with similar content , write a useful comment with your site url at the bottom . Most blogs have the option to put your site url in a seperate feild but will still be acessable when they click your name. If your not a web site owner , then you can use comments to promote anything else. Just dont spam comments , if your comment looks like spam most likely thats where it will end in the spam box.

Since our host is terrible at customer service we had major downtime. Never had problems with them until down , and im not happy about it.

Since traffic has been increasing and commenting becoming more popular i thought it would be time to host a contest. I have seen some blogs do such contest offering prizes such as electronics , entrecard credits and t-shirts.

I want to host a contest for guruwebideas , something simple that everyone can do. Im interested in know what people would like to do for the contest. Such as top commentor,  top dropper on entrecard? Or if you have something else in mind i would like to know.

          

Its monday , thought i would lighten up the day a bit. Help let the week go by faster.
