Basic Tips For On-site Optimization of website.

On-site optimization is one of the most important parts of your SEO Campaign. Most of webmaster always ignore on-site optimization and completely focus on off-site factors like getting links. But for an effective SEO campaign there should be perfect balance between your on-site and off-site factors. A well optimized page can get rankings easily as compared to page which is not optimized for SEO. Below are the some factors on which every SEO should work upon to make their SEO campaign more effective.

Title: Titles are very crucial to on-site optimization as they tell the Search engines about your page and also affect your search engine rankings a lot. It’s always recommended to use keywords in your title for each page of your website depending on the content of their page.

Meta-Description: Search Engines use the meta-description tag as text snippet with each website in Search Results. Therefore, your meta-description tag should be written in a way to encourage people to click on your websites in Search Results. It helps you to create your first impression on your audience.

Code Structure: When designing the site, h1 and h2 tags should be placed at effective positions. The Search Engines assigns high priority on words between h1 and h2 tags. Sometimes coders usually tend to forget that people are reading this page and not just some random search engine bots. Although majority of search engines can now detect the text inside flash files it is always recommended to place keywords in the html surrounding the flash.

Navigation: Search Engine Friendly navigation is yet another factor which is essential for carrying out successful onsite optimization. You can make simple text links or set up CSS menus to achieve the desired results, but internal links to various pages are required for high page rankings.

Sitemaps: Sitemaps are required to organize your site and it allows search engine spiders to find and index your internal pages. The sitemap depict the complete internal layout of your website and guarantees search engines instant access to all the pages within it. You should put forward your site map to search engine during the time of submitting your urls from within Webmaster Tools Account.

Content: The content is vital factor for deciding the success of web site. The entire page should read smoothly and understandable as ultimate target are humans only. It is preferred to include as many links possible in your site. The content should be updated at regular intervals. Then only people would like to visit again. Regular updates will help your site get indexed faster.

Proper url structure: Url is the most significant part of your website as it aids in differentiating pages of your website than several other internet pages. Static url should be preferred over dynamic url as they are easily indexed by spiders employed by search engines. Majority of Search Engines are unable to don’t index dynamic urls.

Web Idea #1

Posted by admin | Posted in General, GuruWebIdeas, Uncategorized | Posted on 17-05-2009-05-2008

Its very hard to come up with ideas that have not been done before , and if they have not been done before there is a reason for it.

affiliate

Affiliate commission

I have personally tried this idea before , let me explain how it work first.

Most programs offer affiliate programs that offer you a % or a fixed price if you refer someone to that program. For example at mylot they offer a 50% affiliate program. You will earn 50% of what the person you referred makes. Terms of money if you earn 5$ for every 10$ your referral earn you are doing nothing other than referring that person to the program. I found it very hard to get people to sign up to such programs and use them. What i came up was what if i offered them my commission im earning from them. If i was earning 5$ for every 10$ they were making , i would give them 4$ of that 5$ i made. That means they would earn a total 14$.

You can do the same thing for different affiliate programs , such as a fixed referral reward. Some programs will offer you 5$ or 10$ if you get someone to sign up under you. You can do the same thing and offer that person 80% of how much you earned from them , or how ever much you want to them.

Why would someone use this service?
Offering people to earn more at a program will interest them. For example if you were able to earn 50% more at your job by doing absolutely nothing different than your co-worker would you do it? Thats the whole point , if someone can make more money at doing the same amount of work at the same program people will want to use this service.

Pros

Earn a % of everyones earnings that you referred. If you have alot of referrals this can add up quick. For example if you earned 10% of everyones total earnings . Lets say you have 100 members who earned a total of 1000$ , this means you would have earned 100$

Cons

Very hard to set up a script to work with affiliate programs to make it all automated.  I found it turned into a huge amount of time having to go into earn program every week , checking affiliate earning. Then updating them for each member at my service. Some programs did not provide individual referral information.  It would only show how much you have earned from all your referrals in total. This made it impossible to work.

Getting people to use the service , and continue to use the service. Finding programs that members are able to earn some cash and offer a good affiliate program is a big program. I found it very hard to find these programs. Most good programs only offer 5% referral earnings.
Thoughts

Its all about finding the right programs and reaching out to potential referrals.  Finding the right programs that offer good earning and a decent affiliate program is the first wall to overcome. Finding referrals for those programs is another. You need to gain their truth and reach out to them to get involved in your service.
I didnt want to give away everything , but enough for you to understand what this idea is all about. You can turn it into anything you want.
